Try on your shoes indoors on a clean, carpeted floor to ensure proper fit. Please also ensure your socks are clean so that the inside of the shoes remain clean. If they fit well and you love them, stop here. If you need a different size, color, or just aren't thrilled with your new shoes, proceed to step 2.
Place your shoes back in their shoe box with all included shoe paper, laces, etc. as they were received by you. We only accept returns on new, unworn merchandise. Hangtags and packaging must be intact for sandals, socks, etc. Shoe boxes must be included for all returns. (except those that were not in a shoebox when you received them. ie socks, Crocs, etc) We do not offer cleaning services. If the soles of your shoes or boots got a little dirty while trying them on please wipe them off before returning them. All returns must be in new, clean, unworn condition and odor-free. We sent the shoes to you free of hair and we appreciate them coming back hair-free as well. (Please don't let your dog or cat try on the shoes.) If you return opened socks and/or dirty or worn shoes we will send you an email notification. You have the option to pay to have these items returned to you. If you do not respond within 6 months the items will be donated to charity.
Fill out the Merchandise Return Form that was included with your package. (Need another copy? Download and print one out.) Returns received without the Merchandise Return Form will be assessed a $5 restocking fee if we are able to locate the original order for the return. Please help us process your return quickly by completely filling out the Merchandise Return Form. We do not need any other paperwork other than the Merchandise Return Form. Please do not staple any additional paperwork to this form - our shredder does not like staples.
Place your returned items (which are safely in their original shoebox or packaging) and your completed Merchandise Return Form inside a corrugated shipping box, or use other shipping packages as received by you. (returns may be wrapped in brown shipping paper, placed inside a shipping bag, placed inside a Priority Mail Box if applicable, etc.) Please note: If you cover the actual shoebox with tape and shipping labels the return will not be accepted. We do NOT accept returns without their original shoebox. Exceptions are if they arrived to you without a shoebox, for example some sandals do not ship in a shoebox.
We understand that shopping for shoes online can be difficult, especially as different brands and styles just fit differently. Michael Ellis Footwear will pay the shipping both ways on your first exchange.* Simply request a no-hassle return label using the link below. The free exchanges offer applies to an exchange of equal or greater value. Any exchange resulting in a refund will incur the flat rate return label shipping cost both ways.
Need to exchange a 2nd or 3rd time? No problem! Shipping each way is a flat rate of $8 per pair of shoes ordered. We also recommend that you measure your feet using our size chart to help determine your size.
If there is a balance owed on the exchange, we will send you an email with instructions on how to authorize payment.
If you would like to return some or all of your order for a refund, simply follow the instructions above. For a no-hassle return label, click the link below. Return shipping cost of $8 per pair of shoes ordered ($8 flat rate for sock or accessory orders) will be deducted from your refund. Returning more than 2 pair of shoes? Contact us for a return shipping quote that may be less expensive than $8/pair. You will receive a refund in the amount you paid (after discounts) less any applicable shipping, processing, or restocking fees.

If you live outside the Contiguous United States you will need to pay shipping on the returned or exchanged pair of shoes. If exchanging you will also need to pay shipping on the exchange order. We apologize for the inconvenience, however international shipping is too cost prohibitive for us to be able to include it in our return/exchange label offer.
